This story tells of what love and acceptance can do for one who is wayword in their faith, and too broken to accept assistance from those who want to help them. The characters have many of the same issues that we can all relate to when it comes to family and the responsibility we have to them. For animal lovers, Abby's horse is a character in the story that needs healing along with Abby, and they weather through the storm together. Quote from Mose: "I'm doing this for you. The horse just got lucky."
About the Author
Beth Shriver is the author of over a dozen books, including Annie's Truth and Grace Given. She received a degree in social work from the University of Nebraska and was a caseworker before starting a family. She followed her passion and now writes full-time.

Healing Grace

Well friends Beth has sure done it again, this is a fantastic end to the Touch of Grace series.
I fell in love with Mose and Abby and I am sure you will love them as well.
Beth has a way of drawing you into the story and you are living right in each moment of the story.
I enjoyed watching the challenges that Abby and Mose have play out on each page.
This is a story your going to get wrapped up in and enjoy to the very last page.
Don't miss any of the books in the Touch of Grace series they are all fantastic 5 star reads.
I have this book 5 stars and I highly recommend it.

The Touch of Grace trilogy series is about three faithful women who, when faced with three separate hardships, are torn between the men they love and staying true to themselves. Grace saves. Even in a world where retribution is almost expected, the Amish demonstrate that all can be pardoned, by following their vow of no resistance which shows the deep-rooted forgiveness within them.
My Review:
This novel had a different feel to it than other Amish stories, and I think it's because Abby's stay with Mose reflected true Christian character on his family's part. When Mose and Abby feel drawn to each other, his family actually encourages the relationship instead of prohibiting it. As a result of this, I felt invested in the story and it's characters. It made me realize that no matter who you are, when you join houses there is going to be compromise, concessions, and a middle ground. I thought it was unique how wonderful his Amish family behaved when Abby was in their home.
As always, Shriver delivers the kind of story you want to talk about. Her character studies made me really understand everyone and their feelings in the story, and see why they make the decision they do. It's the kind of tale, that no matter how oft used the story line is used; the author puts a fresh, new spin on the age old question/dilemma of how to make a life together despite completely different backgrounds and pasts.

Third book in the Tough of Grace series, this three hundred and four page paperback book targets those who enjoy Christian romance involving the Amish. Since there are no profanities, questionable sex scenes, or innuendos, it is an ideal read for young preteen age or older females that love wholesome romantic stories. The topics of physical and mental abuse may not be apropos for naïve readers.
Readable as a stand-alone tome in the series, twenty year old Englisch Abby Barker’s life of hardship in Texas takes another turn for the worse after her mother has died and her father, a swindling horse trader, becomes more abusive verbally and physically.
When Abby and her father are involved in a car accident after she purchases a horse, twenty-two year old Amish Mose Fisher comes to their aid, helping them with the injured animal. Realizing there is an emotional bond between the young adults, Mose immediately notices the father’s rude, caustic behavior.
Later when the horse still has not healed from her injury, Abby asks Mose to tend to the animal. Knowing she is not Amish, the young man prays regularly for guidance as he falls more and more in love with the guarded woman.
After an altercation with her father, she flees to the only place of solace she knows: the Meadowlark Valley, an Amish community where Mose lives. Flourishing in the community, she must make important decisions that will change the course of her life, especially in regard to her controlling, jealous father.
As Mose continually asks the confused girl if there is anything wrong, she vacillates between friend and flirt, trying to find contentment and grace in her displaced life. Through learning the Amish ways, she must come to terms with her father’s abuse, her independent stubbornness, and feelings for Mose. In turn, he ponders if he should cross the line of his religious upbringing to help the girl that stirs new emotions in him.
As the bantering of love escalates between the two opposites, readers get caught up in typical another Amish tale that has a heroine who must look inward to find healing and peace.
